The alias DUPLEX was a frequent and respected by-line appearing in The Model Engineer magazine during the late 1940's and 50's, contributing around 212 articles—both self-contained, and serialized complex projects. As should be apparent from the name, Duplex was in fact, two talented and dedicated individuals, namely Ian Bradley and Norman Hallows. Bradley also contributed "solo" articles under the nom de plume of GEOMETER.

Several of DUPLEX' articles are still of special relevance to IC engine builders. These have been scanned and OCR'd in order to make their text available to the Model Engine News Search Utility, and other search engines.
